Inauguration UofM’s Salle des Bâtisseuses at the Marguerite-D’Youville Pavilion

May 8, 2019

On April 24th, the Salle des Bâtisseuses (“The Builders’ Room”) was inaugurated at the University of Montreal’s Marguerite-D’Youville Pavilion.

This special conference room was designed by the EVOQ team, in collaboration with the Dean of the Faculty of Nursing Sciences, Ms. Francine Ducharme, along with Ms. Sharon Harvie and Ms. Louise Bellerose. It features a wall dedicated to the deans of the Faculty, and includes a tribute to three great women-builders of the City of Montreal: Jeanne Mance, Marguerite D’Youville and Marguerite Bourgeoys.

The layout and composition of the Faculty’s artefacts was conceived by graphic designer Camille Campeau who was part of a production team that included: Denis Larivière Eng. (DLECI – Mechanical and Electrical Engineering), Omar Elbaradie Eng. (Project Manager for the Real Estate Branch), and Michèle Vongphrachanh (Ralvec Construction), Mario Roy and Jean Désarmenien (UofM’s Department of Information Technologies).
