As part of the continuous development of our firm, we are looking for a BIM Coordinator/Technologist with strong BIM skills to join our dynamic team of architects. As a BIM Technician, you will play an essential role in enhancing our employees' skills by providing assistance on Revit, creating or developing components (families), and working with the BIM Manager to evolve and apply our standards in projects. Main Responsibilities:
- Assist office modelers and coordinators in performing their tasks in Revit. Solve issues they encounter.
- Explain & train. Explain the features of the software or platform to office employees who seek help.
- Create components. Develop parametric components, either general for the office to enhance our EVOQ library or specific to the project.
- Replace the BIM Coordinator when they are not yet assigned to the project or in case of absence. Be capable of performing any tasks that a coordinator does.
- Assist the BIM Manager and Project Manager in applying a specific working method to the project.
- Perform advanced tasks in models such as exporting & importing data from a model, using plugins to perform special tasks.
- Ensure quality control of models. Participate in BIM management to maintain the QA/QC of models, modeling level (LOD), and warnings
Your Skills:
- College diploma (DEC) in architectural technology or civil engineering
- Minimum 2 years of experience in BIM coordination (or as a resource person)
- Proficiency in Autodesk Revit
- Knowledge of other BIM-related tools (such as ACC Docs and ACC Build) is a significant asset
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Knowledge of industry BIM standards and protocols is an asset
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects effectively
- Understanding of architectural design principles and construction techniques is an asset
- Any professional experience in architecture is an asset
- Bilingualism. You will also be required to work with our Toronto office.
