As part of the continuous development of our firm, we are looking for a talented and motivated person to fill the position of Intern Architect or Junior Architect to join our northern team at our Montreal office.
Key Responsabilities
- Create detailed drawings and plans using CAD software such as Revit and AutoCAD
- Effectively communicate design ideas and concepts to stakeholders
- Participate in research and analysis for project design
- Prepare cost estimates and proposals for projects under team supervision
- Assist the project team during the construction monitoring phase
- Assist the project manager in coordination with clients, consultants, and other stakeholders
- Participate in reviewing project compliance with local regulations, building standards, and current codes
- Conduct site reviews and contract administration
- Ensure that work complies with contractual documents and/or specifications
- Attend and contribute to meetings and prepare relevant documents (clear agendas, responses to client questions, draft solutions to encountered problems, etc.)
Your Profile
- Licensed architect in Quebec or Ontario (OAA or OAQ) or Architectural Candidate
- 1 to 3 years of professional experience
- Computer skills: AutoCAD, Revit, Microsoft Office suite, Adobe Acrobat; familiarity with Photoshop and InDesign are assets
- A driver's license would be an asset
- Bilingualism (French/English) would be an asset, as you will also be called upon to work with Indigenous communities and our Ontario office
- General knowledge of sustainable architecture design principles
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to work in a team and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Attention to detail and ability to solve problems creatively
