As part of our company's ongoing development, we are looking for an intermediate architect for the role of site supervisor within our Heritage team at our Montreal office. The ideal candidate possesses at least 5 years of relevant experience and an interest in existing buildings and heritage.
Main Responsibilities
- Participate in all phases of project development
- Identify and solve technical problems
- Coordinate plans and specifications with consultants and stakeholders
- Participate in team and consultant management
- Perform site reviews and contract administration
- Contribute to the preparation of service proposals, project schedules, and cost estimates
- Ensure that work complies with contract documents and/or specifications
- Determine and revise schedules with the client, contractors, EVOQ team, and engineers; define a clear calendar and deadlines in relation to other activities to be carried out, then follow up as necessary
- Attend meetings and prepare relevant documents (clear agenda, answers to client questions, draft solutions to problems encountered, etc.)
- Review contract documents (change requests, site directives)
Your Profile
- Licensed architect in Quebec or Ontario (OAA or OAQ)
- Between 1 and 3 years of professional experience in a similar position and 3 to 5 years of professional experience in the production of contract documents, site inspection, and contract administration
- Computer skills: AutoCAD, Revit, Microsoft Office suite, Adobe Acrobat; and familiarity with Photoshop, InDesign
- Knowledge of building codes, design of historic and contemporary building envelopes, construction materials, and specifications
- Strong technical knowledge of construction details
- Driver's license would be an asset
- Bilingualism (French/English) would be an asset, as you will also be called upon to work with our Ontario office
