Consultation for the Amishku-Shipiss - Kigiap Konga - Beaver Brook Camp project

As part of a new mandate for Parks Canada, Roxanne and Emmanuelle from EVOQ facilitated a consultation in Goose Bay last week. At the heart of the discussions: the Amishku-Shipiss - Kigiap Konga - Beaver Brook Camp project.
The project will be the first development for the Akami-Uapishkᵁ - KakKasuak - Mealy Mountains National Park Reserve, the 46th national park covering an area of over 10,000 km².

The brainstorming and sharing session brought together representatives from Parks Canada, the Labrador Innu Nation and the Nunatsiavut government. Together, they worked to define a common vision for this site of significant cultural and historical value.
