Union Station’s revitalization has been highly praised by the jurors of the Toronto Urban Design Awards
EVOQ Architecture is proud to have led the heritage conservation work for the Union Station revitalization project, winner of an Award of Excellence at the 2025 Toronto Urban Design Awards. This major transformation modernized one of Canada's most important transportation hubs, visited by millions of people annually. The project significantly improved the accessibility, functionality, and user-friendliness of this century-old infrastructure, while contributing to carbon emission reduction by promoting public transit. As the heritage architect, EVOQ brought its specialized expertise and experience to conserve this National Historic Site while enabling successful modernization. This recognition demonstrates the excellence of the collaborative work achieved.
