Raglan Mine - Expansion of the Cafeteria
Initially designed for 350 people, the Katinniq complex has seen its population increase by 230%, necessitating the expansion of its cafeteria. Xstrata Nickel - Mine Raglan launched this project to maintain the required level of service, as part of its 40 KTPA initiative to increase annual nickel production from 28,000 to 40,000 tonnes. However, the project was cancelled in June 2013 following Glencore's acquisition of Xstrata Nickel. EVOQ was responsible for the conceptual study, the development of the selected concept, the implementation phasing and the establishment of the modular system, as well as the tender documents for a design build contract.
