We are currently seeking an Intermediate Architect – Project Manager to join our Nordic Team in Montreal. The ideal candidate has a minimum of 5 years of experience in architecture, demonstrates curiosity, and shows a genuine interest in collaborative work with northern communities.


Key Responsibilities

Under the supervision of a Partner or Project Director, the Intermediate Architect – Project Manager plays a key role in the coordination, management, and delivery of projects, from the design phase through construction administration.

Project Management and Coordination:

  • Plan, review, and monitor project schedules with clients, contractors, consultants (engineers, landscape architects, etc.), and the EVOQ team.
  • Develop clear project timelines, establish milestones, and ensure deadlines are met.
  • Prepare, lead, and participate in project meetings (agendas, minutes, responses to questions, and proposed solutions).
  • Act as the day‑to‑day liaison between internal and external stakeholders.
  • Monitor project progress and communicate project status to all parties involved.
  • Ensure compliance with timelines, budgets, and quality standards.

Technical Production and Document Coordination:

  • Read, interpret, and coordinate drawings, specifications, and contractual documents.
  • Identify, analyze, and resolve technical issues related to design and construction.
  • Coordinate drawings and specifications with other disciplines.
  • Review and comment on shop drawings.
  • Participate in the production and coordination of contract documents (Revit / AutoCAD).

Construction Administration:

  • Participate in the administration of construction contracts.
  • Conduct site visits, deficiency follow‑ups, and inspections (including travel to northern regions).
  • Review change orders, site instructions, and cost analyses.
  • Review contractors’ payment applications.
  • Ensure that construction work complies with contractual documents.

Your Profile

  • Licensed Architect, member of the OAQ and/or OAA.
  • 5 to 7 years of relevant professional experience in architecture.
  • Strong experience in contract document production, multidisciplinary coordination, and construction administration.
  • Experience in project management or coordination (strong asset).
  • Excellent command of Revit, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Solid technical knowledge of building construction.
  • Availability for travel and site inspections in remote regions, including stays of 5 to 8 consecutive days a few times per year.
  • Bilingual in French and English.
