Banff National Park: EVOQ among the six finalists of the Parks Canada architecture competition
EVOQ, in consortium with Ryder Architecture, was among the six finalist teams of the international architecture competition launched by Parks Canada and the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada (RAIC) for the creation of a new welcome centre and community space in the heart of Banff National Park.
Shortlisted following a rigorous prequalification process that attracted 44 multidisciplinary teams from around the world, EVOQ and Ryder developed a conceptual proposal that reflected the unique spirit of the park, incorporating an authentic representation of Indigenous communities, supporting the local community, and offering a respectful integration of Banff's built heritage.
Our team is proud to have been among the six finalists selected and to have contributed to this collective reflection on the future of one of Canada's most iconic sites.
