100 Gloucester
The project is located in the Centretown district of Ottawa, on the south side of Gloucester Street between Metcalfe and O'Connor, on a site of approximately 1,832 square metres. Its central location provides walkable access to commercial, institutional, cultural and recreational facilities.
The proposed project is a 27-storey tower with 750m² floor plates resting on a 6 or 7-storey podium. Podium floor plates range from 780 to 965 square metres, with smaller plates at grade level sculpting pedestrian-friendly spaces along Gloucester. To the south, a garden space connects with the existing gardens of Claridge Loop, creating shared common space between the projects.
The building's scale is broken down into visually slender elements to relate appropriately to the existing streetscape. The architectural treatment features light-coloured planes with repeated vertical punch windows — offset on the tower and aligned on the podium — accentuated by metal panels that extend the masonry openings vertically.
