Sami Tannoury
Sami Tannoury, Principal and Director at EVOQ, has made a remarkable impact on the firm’s growth and reputation through his dedication to the firm’s culture and the values championed by its founders. His natural leadership, critical thinking, curiosity, and deep sense of wonder make him a respected and influential figure within the firm. Sami is also responsible for leading the promotion department at EVOQ, where he plays a key role in enhancing the firm’s visibility and outreach.
Sami has dedicated much of his career to working with First Nations and Inuit communities, striving to deliver projects that resonate with each community’s unique identity and values. His work includes a wide range of social housing projects in Nunavik for the Makivik Corporation, as well as impactful community initiatives like the Nuitauvvik Community Pool in Salluit and the Child and Family Centre in Tobique First Nation, New Brunswick.
In addition to his work at EVOQ, Sami has been a guest critic at architecture workshops at both Université de Montréal Montreal Universiry and Université du Québec à Montréal Quebec University in Montreal since 2003, where he contributes his expertise and insights to the development of emerging architects.
Sami is a graduate of Université de Montréal, where he earned his Bachelor of Architecture in 2001, and he has practiced as an architect since 2009.
