« The contemporary presence of the new Gadbois center should be intimately associated with a high degree of permeability towards the park. A fusion of architecture, landscape and urban design. The site's heritage interest and former industrial vocation will become important inputs to our desire to imbue the site with a sense of place.

Architectural expression will benefit from the modulation of the two new gymnasiums, one of which will be enlarged, and the new entrance to the park. A cantilevered roof, large openings, the agora's glass roof and the courtyards/roof terraces, exposed towards the park, assert the building's status as a public and civic facility. An emblematic volume, with its multiple faces, expresses the function of the site, which can be imagined and perceived as a place for multiple recreational and sporting activities. It's a community asset, a community membership and a new presence for the Sud-Ouest district and for the City of Montreal; a generosity. »
