Boutique-workshop Onquata

The Onquata boutique-workshop in Wendake is a distinctive project where design and cultural identity converge. Developed in close co-creation with Lara Siouï (co-founder of Onquata), the collaborative approach ensured an authentic process rooted in the knowledge, values, and vision of the community. The building, conceived as an industrial construction, integrates into a restrained urban context while standing out through a strong architectural intervention.

The façade acts as a true lantern, casting a warm glow that reveals the interior activity and draws attention from the street. This architectural gesture clearly establishes the project’s presence within an industrial setting, while expressing the openness and vitality of the space. The boutique-workshop thus becomes a place of creation, encounter, and transmission, where architecture and culture engage in a contemporary and meaningful dialogue.
