Legislative Assembly of Ontario – Security Enabling Works and Planning Studies

A symbol of Ontario's heritage since 1893, the Legislative Precinct at Queen's Park encompasses several mandates entrusted to EVOQ as prime consultant.

The Security System Upgrade project involves the design and construction of infrastructure to support a new security system, spanning all interior levels of the Legislative Building and Whitney Block as well as their exterior grounds. EVOQ collaborates with electrical, IT, mechanical, and structural engineers, while ensuring the preservation of the buildings' exceptional architectural heritage.

In parallel, EVOQ is leading long-term planning studies, including a Historic Structures Report, a Swing Space Feasibility Study, and a Functional Programme. Together, these documents serve as a foundational map for the future rehabilitation of the complex, improving accessibility, sustainability, security, and user comfort throughout.
