Les Appartements Port-Royal - Réhabilitation de l'enveloppe du bâtiment
Built in 1964, the Port-Royal residential building is a landmark in downtown Montréal, distinguished by its precast concrete panels and large metal-framed windows, elements with heritage interest.
EVOQ first conducted a detailed assessment of the building envelope, combining archival research, site visits, and exploratory openings in collaboration with specialized consultants. This study identified the underlying causes of deterioration and explored specific, quantified intervention options.
This was followed by a comprehensive visual and tactile inspection of all facades, documented through drawings, photographs, and video. Carried out in close collaboration with a specialized contractor and a structural engineer, this campaign provided a complete picture of the building's condition and informed the rehabilitation project that preserved the building’s architectural character.
