Loyola High School Gym Renovation

Loyola High School, transitioning to co-education in fall 2023, undertook a major renovation of its gymnasium and changing facilities for both male and female students. The project also included architectural enhancements to the gym, entrance hallway, and exterior entranceway. Natural light now floods the gymnasium through new south-facing clerestory windows, while a new natural maple floor and updated color palette brighten the space. The entrance hallway was redesigned with a modern, lively feel, featuring a continuous wood feature wall and sophisticated lighting. Code and accessibility updates were made to meet current standards. The exterior canopy, adorned in school colors, marks the main entrance, complemented by updated landscaping with new seating, lighting, and a fully accessible mini-plaza.
