Gabrielle-Roy Library – Finalist
Text extracted from the team's proposal:
" Cut into the heart of the building, this evanescent volume materializes the void, its flow and its varied activities. These blurred, indefinite boundaries leave room for interpretation and the possible dilation-compression of different uses over time. This interior landscape, perceived as soon as you enter the building, becomes a referential component of the BGR's identity. A theater of social dynamics, it underscores the liveliness associated with the clash of thematic encounters. A series of collaborative galleries are organized around the central void, showcasing large horizontal and vertical transparencies. Together, these elements define the new Agora of making and sharing. "
