Université de Montréal: Spacial Reconfiguration - Roger-Gaudry West Pavilion
In joint venture with NFOE, EVOQ was mandated for the space reallocation project of the freed spaces in the Pavillon Roger-Gaudry Ouest, the University's emblematic flagship art deco-style building designed by architect Ernest Cormier.
This major project includes the complete renovation of premises intended to house the Université de Montréal's audiology and speech-language pathology departments. The intervention on multiple floors aims to improve the student experience through bright and functional spaces equipped with state-of-the-art equipment that integrate with the spirit of this important heritage building. The work also includes bringing the exit staircases up to code to ensure compliance with current safety and accessibility requirements.
The Université de Montréal acts as the project owner, with the project piloted by the Bureau de projet du ministère de l'Enseignement supérieur (MES) and the Société québécoise des infrastructures (SQI).
The project is executed within an active campus environment where multiple projects operate simultaneously. Through careful coordination and collaboration with users, academic operations continue uninterrupted. Project delivery is scheduled for fall 2026.
