Université du Québec in Abitibi-Témiscamingue Campus Expansion - Winning Proposal
EVOQ won the architectural competition for the Université du Québec in Abitibi-Témiscamingue Rouyn-Noranda campus expansion project.
The design of the new pavilion aligns with the site’s existing geometry, and integrates seamlessly with the original pavilion’s curve, angled courtyard and the rhythm of the colonnades. Vertically organized, the program separates the interdisciplinary clinic, academic spaces, and administrative offices.
Our design choices were guided by the health sciences program’s community-focused approach, and emphasizes the relationship between nature, urban green spaces, and healthcare in order to promote community well-being.
