Calgary’s Historic City Hall is an architecturally significant civic building and a National, Provincial and Municipal Heritage Resource. Opened in 1911, the building embodies the Richardsonian Romanesque style and is one of the few remaining sandstone buildings of this scale in Alberta.
EVOQ’s mandate, in partnership with local architect of record Lemay, was to rehabilitate the exterior and site of the historic city hall. The scope of work includes directing the initial research and assessments as well as the preparation of the design and construction documents and supervision of the ongoing rehabilitation of the stonework, roof, windows and metalwork.
