Mosaique Apartments

Located in the old printers’ district of Montreal, the Mosaïque residential development occupies a site and buildings still very much associated with its previous owner – Southam Press.

In collaboration with the project’s principal architects, Tolchinsky & Goodz, EVOQ conducted a building condition assessment and prepared a comprehensive restoration plan for the site.

To ensure the integration of the new structure into the heritage character of the sector (the site is located within the protected area of the Unity Building, a classified historic building), EVOQ designed the façade of the new building and led the discussions with the Quebec Ministry of Culture and Communications and the municipal planning department.
