Julia Gersovitz awarded the OAQ Medal of Merit
On April 19th, Julia Gersovitz, founding partner of EVOQ Architecture, was awarded the OAQ Medal of Merit for her work in heritage conservation in Canada. The OAQ Medal of Merit, the Order’s highest distinction, pays tribute to an architect who has distinguished themselves through their entire career. With more than 40 years of private practice and teaching, Julia is a key figure in the evolution of practices for the enhancement of the built environment. Her portfolio includes many highly acclaimed projects, such as Toronto’s Union Station, Ottawa’s West Block of Parliament and McGill University’s Arts Pavilion. Her many accolades received in Canada and internationally are testament to a career dedicated to establishing a culture of excellence in heritage conservation.
