Maya Cousineau-Mollen publishes her first collection of poetry
Our colleague Maya Cousineau-Mollen recently published her first collection of poetry entitled, “Bréviaire du matricule 082“, published by Éditions Hannenorak.
Maya, EVOQ’s Inuit and First Nations Community Development Advisor, was already an established voice in Innu poetry, having participated in various readings as well as in Indigenous literary bingo events. Her poetry has also been published in Amun, a well-regarded collection of literary works by Indigenous writers.
“Bréviaire du matricule 082“, was officially released on September 19 at the Euguélionne bookstore, at a special launch event that also featured Louis-Karl Picard-Sioui’s latest offering entitled, “Les visages de la terre“.
The EVOQ team was proud to be present at this event and honoured to be able to share this evening of celebration and achievement with Maya, as well as obtain a copy of her book which sold out before the event concluded.
We congratulate Maya and wish her continued success and literary achievement!
