Macdonald Stewart Library - McGill University
The McGill Macdonald Stewart Library project was fully modeled using a meticulous stone-by-stone approach, allowing us to attach detailed data to each element of the building. This digital model enabled our team to closely track the development of the preliminary plans all the way through to the construction. Through this BIM approach, we created an incredibly detailed mock-up and compiled a comprehensive data set on the masonry interventions, which make up most of the building’s envelope and structure.
EVOQ Architecture pioneered its BIM Heritage expertise in 2018 with the MDSL project, laying the foundation for our extensive capabilities in working with heritage buildings. Today, we offer a full spectrum of BIM services for heritage preservation, including laser scanning, modeling, data management, and the analysis and restoration of historic structures to ensure their longevity for generations to come.
