Lena Buchinger

Lena Buchinger, OAQ, ACECP, is an experienced conservation architect, associate director and key member of EVOQ Architecture. President of APT for the 2023-2025 cycle, she works on the heritage conservation team and is involved in institutional projects of all scales. She has contributed to the award-winning rehabilitation of some of Canada's most iconic historic sites.

She stands out for her ability to develop a holistic view of her projects, based on a detailed knowledge of the building's history, its constructive systems and stakeholder issues. Lena has an in-depth knowledge of traditional building techniques and materials, as well as those of the early 20th century, particularly masonry.

Lena served on the Sud-Ouest Borough's Comité consultatif d'urbanisme (CCU) for 9 years, from 2013 to 2023, where she advised on countless design, preservation and planning issues. She has been active in APT for several years: board member since 2018, vice-president since 2021, and now president for the 2023-2025 cycle. As co-president of APT Québec from 2019 to 2021, she increased the volunteer base and organized several training events.

 Lena graduated from McGill University with a Master of Architecture in 2006 and has been practicing architecture since 2010. She joined EVOQ in 2006 and has been a partner since 2019, now holding the position of Associate Director.
