EVOQ has undertaken a number of projects for improvements, repairs and upgrades to various airport buildings within the scope of a renovation and construction program for airport infrastructure (including maintenance garages and terminals) for the Quebec Ministry of Transportation.

These projects were conceived to maximize the longevity of the buildings and provide safe environments for their users by carrying out the most urgent work in addition to a variety of other improvements and/or renovations. The work included roof replacements, upgrading interior and exterior finishes, reconfiguration of administrative spaces, repairs to waterproof the building envelope, improvements to security, etc.

Unlike the existing terminals, each of the upgraded terminals has its own distinct identity. Although, the renovated air terminals share same timber structure and framing, each terminal uniquely reflects the community and the specific location it serves. The terminals have been designed according to themes selected by each community. Themes were then developped and served to define an approach and architectural colour. Local artists were selected by way of a competition in each community and commissioned to create the artwork according to the chosen themes.
