Aluminum and Heritage: The Ecoresponsible Metamorphosis of the Christ Church Spire by John Diodati

EVOQ Director and Principal John Diodati was recently interviewed by the International Aluminium Institute as part of their Our People our Story series on aluminum and sustainability. EVOQ’s recently completed Christ Church Spire Rehabilitation project is featured, for which John was lead conservation architect. More than 80 years ago, the spire was clad in cast aluminum panels, the first such known use. They performed remarkably well during this time, and with some relatively minor restoration and cleaning are now ready for another life cycle of service.
