CSLA: EVOQ recipient of Award of Excellence for video series
Congratulations to Isabelle Giasson, Landscape Architect and Associate at EVOQ on her most recent Award of Excellence (Communication Category) from the Canadian Society of Landscape Architects (CSLA) for the eight part documentary film series “Memoirs of Pioneering Landscape Architects of Quebec and Ontario“.
This video documentary series presents the personal, professional and academic memoirs of eight individuals who pioneered the discipline of landscape architecture in the 1950s, ’60s and ’70s. Through interviews in which these pioneers narrate their adventures in landscape architecture, the project gathers oral “snapshots” of previously undocumented memories, especially from before the age of the internet and digital photography. These recordings are available to general and professional audiences, promoting landscape architecture’s history and vitality as a design discipline.
The documentary series was produced by Isabelle Giasson, Fanie St-Michel, and Steven Turcotte and is available to view on Youtube.
