Principal Responsibilities

The intern we are looking for will work in close collaboration with one of the two senior Associates working in the Ottawa office.  They will be guided and will participate in:

  • Historical and background research
  • Building condition surveys and the preparation of reports
  • All phases of project development including:
    • Preparation of contract/construction documents (drawings and specifications)
    • Building code review
    • Site review and contract administration
    • Project schedules and cost estimates
  • Finding solutions to technical challenges
  • Coordination with other consultants and stakeholders
  • Other related duties as required.

About You

  • Holder of university degree in architecture
  • Autonomous and proactive
  • Rigorous, well organized and eager to learn
  • Ability to work on several tasks at the same time

Your Skills

  • Computer skills: AutoCAD, Microsoft Office suite, Adobe Acrobat, Revit; and familiarity with Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, SketchUp.
  • Some technical knowledge in construction detailing would be an asset.
