Percy Nobbs, a renowned 19th century Montreal architect, designed this Arts and Crafts inspired house, which was his family home. His family estate changed hands only four times, and remained relatively intact over the years. However, adverse changes were made, maintenance deferred and the arts and crafts landscaping design was compromised.
Now the home of the Blinderman family, EVOQ worked closely with the client to restore the house and gardens and rehabilitate the site for contemporary living. The property is a Category 1 heritage designated house in Westmount, Quebec.
As such, it was subject to a rigorous, multi-stage review process by the municipal Planning Advisory Committee.
