Inauguration of Elgin County Courthouse

April 1, 2014

The ribbon cutting ceremony at the Elgin County Courthouse (or St. Thomas Consolidated Courthouse, as it was called during construction) was held on March 18th in St. Thomas, Ontario. The event celebrated the completion of the rehabilitation and complete restoration of the heritage courthouse, and of its addition.

Many representatives from the Ministry of Attorney General (client), Infrastructure Ontario (project manager) and the public-private partnership lead by Ellis Don were onsite; many citizens also attended.

For this project, EVOQ was responsible for all that involved the Palladian-style building of 1853, rebuilt in 1899 after a fire: research, planning and interventions. We wish to emphasize the impressive work done by our team in recent years. Congratulations to Julia Gersovitz, Neil McNulty, Eric Stein, Catherine Fanous, Simona Rusu, Peter Moses, Radu Stoicescu, Michael Barrett, Judith Boisvert and Marianne Leroux.

More information on this project soon to be posted.
