On Friday September 27 2019, EVOQ hosted its second-ever EVOQ Explore event, this time in Old Montreal. Organized by EVOQ’s Sustainable Development Committee, the event was conceived to allow team members to visit and learn about the firm’s projects from their colleagues who worked on them.

Participants visited a selection of projects completed by senior members of the Heritage Conservation and Contemporary Architecture teams. Gilles Prud’Homme presented his work at the Musée Pointe-à-Callière; Eric Stein provided insights into the Ernest Cormier Building; Nathan Godlovitch presented the Gault Hotel and Georges Drolet discussed the genesis of the 357 de la Commune Ouest. Lena Buchinger and John Diodati presented the highly technical restoration of the oriel window on the Gérald-Godin Building (formerly the Grand Trunk Building) and the ongoing restoration of the monumental Dominique-Ducharme Building formerly known as the Montreal Customs Building.

Everyone enjoyed a sunny autumn afternoon in the company of their colleagues as they walked through Old Montreal listening to dynamic presentations from the various project managers, whose commitment and passion were palpable as they talked about the challenges they faced and the creative solutions they developed.
