Éric Stein
With over 35 years of experience in architecture, Éric Stein joined EVOQ in 2001. As an associate director and senior project manager, he combines technical knowledge with disciplined project management to lead design and heritage rehabilitation work, drawing on extensive experience with institutional and university projects. He takes a particular interest in traditional assemblies, techniques, and materials, and follows technological tools that can support architectural practice and conservation methods.
Éric works closely with clients and project teams to develop solutions that respect the character and heritage value of buildings while meeting present-day needs. A member of the Association for Preservation Technology (APT) and the Canadian Association of Heritage Professionals (CAHP), he is active in conservation, particularly with religious and modern heritage.
His work spans landmark projects such as the Wellington Building restoration, the F.A.C.E. School auditorium revitalization, and interventions at the Elgin County Courthouse, Calgary City Hall, and the Nicolet Cathedral. As an experienced photographer, he also documents these projects as they progress, capturing the character and transformation of each site.
