With over three decades of architectural expertise, Éric Stein joined EVOQ in 2001, bringing a versatile vision that has significantly enriched our heritage conservation practice. As Associate Director and IT Director, he combines exceptional technical mastery with a methodical project management approach, allowing him to confidently address the most complex design and heritage rehabilitation challenges.
His natural ability to establish constructive dialogue with clients and collaborators makes Éric instrumental in developing innovative architectural solutions that respect historical integrity while meeting contemporary requirements. An active member of the Association for Preservation Technology (APT) and the Canadian Association of Heritage Professionals (CAHP), he contributes significantly to advancing conservation practices, particularly in the fields of religious and modern heritage.
His expertise is illustrated through emblematic achievements including the meticulous restoration of the Wellington Building, the revitalization of the F.A.C.E. School Auditorium, and sensitive interventions at the Elgin County Courthouse, Calgary City Hall, and Nicolet Cathedral. His passion for photography also brings a valuable documentary dimension to each project, capturing the essence and transformation of heritage sites.
